Reading Room
In Rajat Mahal, formerly a smoking room, a spectacular painted frieze of monsoon clouds with angels, raginis and deities hovering within, pay tribute to Bikaner’s obsession with precipitation.
Grey accents, inlaid usta work on the walls, a red and gold-painted ceiling of teak (there are 18 kilos of gold used in the room alone) and a marble fireplace with gold enamelling make this a thoroughly distracting, if quiet, reading room. Rajat Mahal can also be booked for larger private parties and functions.
